The 'rebel' heavyweight fight between David Haye and Dereck Chisora will go ahead at Upton Park on July 14 under a cloud of controversy and criticism.
It has been labelled a 'freak show', and has been under fire after accusations of profiting from the brawl between the pair in Munich in February, which led to the contest. Sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation. The fight will be promoted by BoxNation in association with German promoters Sauerland.
The British Boxing Board of Control would not sanction the fight after removing Chisora's licence on March 14 and with Haye's licence having lapsed. It has been seen as a breakaway move from the British governing body.
